As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, Grupo Granjas Marinas S.A de C.V, supports projects that improve the quality of life of the inhabitants in our communities of influence. On this occasion, we directed our effort to the community of La Cuesta de la Julia, located in Santa Isabel, Choluteca. Two social projects that are the result of the commitment that we have as a company and the great participation of the community who was involved from beginning to end to achieve the following projects:

1.      Improvement of the community water tank: with a capacity of 30 thousand gallons, repairs were made in the wall and slab, refilling and refining, internal and external epoxy paint. The total cost of the project was L. 134,831.00 of which the community contributed L.28,000.00 in unskilled labour.

2.      Construction of a modern kindergarden with all the requirements necessary by Education: CCEPREB “Prof. Oscar Ismael Aguilar”. Recently classes were given in the kitchen of the school but in recent years’ enrollment has increased. This year, 2017, the kindergarden consist of 27 children who will be directly benefited. The new kindergarden has a 9X8 classroom, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower, 1 cellar, a rotoplas structure and its respective sink, sidewalk, playground, planters, wire mesh fence and a new access gate. The total cost of the project was L.478, 268.00 of which the community contributed L.43,900.00 in stone material and unskilled labour.

The total investment by GGM, in both projects benefitting the inhabitants of La Cuesta de la Julia, Santa Isabel, was L. 540,399.00. The community contributed a total of L. 72,700.00. Both projects were built simultaneously and thanks to the support of the community we succeeded in finalizing them.
